On May 25th, Zhejiang Hailiang Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hailiang Stock” or “Company”) formally signed the Cooperation Agreement for University-Enterprise Talent Cultivation with the School of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of Science and Technology Beijing and the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Central South University.

The cooperation project of University-Enterprise Talent Cultivation is a key initiative of Hailiang’s efforts to solve the shortcomings of human resources based on the company's 2025 strategic plan. Taking the signing ceremony as an opportunity, Hailiang Stock will join hands together with renowned colleges and universities in materials across the country to set up a series of special policies and introduce outstanding graduates in batches through targeted introduction and orientation. Furthermore, Hailiang Stock will combine its own demand with the university education to speed up the integration process between outstanding talents and company, so as to cultivate more talents that can meet social and corporate needs.
During the ceremony, Zhangquan Zhu, Chairman and General Manager of Hailiang Stock, introduced the development history, development status and industrial layout of Hailiang Group, focusing on elaborating the production layout, product structure, business scale and strategic planning of Hailiang Stock. Chairman Zhangquan Zhu said that the most crucial resource to achieve the company's 2025 strategic plan is human resource. In recent years, focusing on the needs of future middle and senior management and technical personnel and the needs of blue-collar workers, the company has built a diversified talent cultivation platform, and introduced a series of talent incentive policies. After the Cooperation Agreement for University-Enterprise Talent Cultivation being signed, the company will also refine its internal talent development platform in the hope that more students from Central South University and the University of Science and Technology Beijing can join Hailiang.

The University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) was founded in 1952 following the amalgamation of the best departments in related fields of five eminent universities as a result of a nationwide reorganization of the higher education system. Over half a century of remarkable growth, it has developed into one of the most influential key national universities sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Education. USTB is renowned for its study of metallurgy and materials science. Its main focus is on engineering; at the same time it maintains a balanced program of science, management, humanities, economics and law. The Materials Science and Engineering subject was one of the first National First-Class Key Disciplines and National First-Class Discipline Doctor Station. Its three secondary disciplines are also one of the first subjects of National Key Disciplines and the discipline taught by Distinguished Professor of Chang Jiang Scholars Program. It has the right to grant masters and doctoral degrees, and it also sponsors various post-doctoral research stations
As a top university directly under the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People's Republic of China, Central South University (CSU) is one of the first universities admitted into “Project 211” (the Chinese government's endeavor aimed at strengthening about 100 institutions of higher education and key disciplinary areas), “Project 985” (the Chinese government's effort to found world-class universities), and “Plan 2011” (the Chinese government's another initiative to improve universities' innovation forces). In September 2017, CSU was enlisted as one of the A-Level "Double First Rate" universities by the State Council. The School of Materials Science and Engineering belongs to the first group of schools in China that can award masters and doctoral degree, and accept post-doctor. According to the data of ESI center, the Materials discipline of CSU is ranked among the top 100 disciplines in the world, and the total number of disciplinary ESI papers ranked top ten among the Materials discipline of universities and research institutes across the world.
The signing ceremony of the Talent-Cultivation Project with the School of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of Science and Technology Beijing and the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Central South University indicates that the company’s talent cultivation project has taken another solid step.
