On May 31st, Wang Hao, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and governor, visited Hailiang Non-ferrous Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park to investigate and guide the work of stabilizing growth, stabilizing market entities and ensuring employment, and to understand the implementation of the central and provincial economic stabilization policies and measures.
Governor Wang Hao went to the workshop of Hailiang, inspected its production line on the spot. He learned in detail about the production, operation and market sales of Hailiang this year, the difficulties it has faced, and policies such as tax reduction, tax rebates, and assistance to enterprises to stabilize jobs.
Wang Lihong, Chairman and Party Secretary of Hailiang Group, reported to Wang Hao on the development of the company’s three industries led by Party building, its commitment to the cause of rural revitalization and common prosperity, and its insistence on “no layoffs and no pay cuts” and further initiatives to expand employment. Governor Wang Hao pointed out that, affected by the epidemic and international market changes and other factors beyond expectations, our province’s economic fundamentals are under deep pressure. However, under the unremitting efforts of all parties, the positive factors are increasing which help the province’s economic operation tend to be positive. In the face of the new situation and new requirements, the majority of enterprises should take new actions; the majority of entrepreneurs should take new responsibilities. He hoped that entrepreneurs would rise up to challenges and make good use of the economic stabilization policies and initiatives issued by the country and the province, so as to actively cope with various difficulties and challenges. Enterprises also should firmly grasp the two keys of innovation and quality, and should continue to make their enterprises better, bigger and stronger by adapting to the new and changes.
Governor Wang Hao emphasized that enterprises should resolutely implement the important instruction of Xi Jinping that “the epidemic should be prevented, the economy should be stabilized and the development should be safe”, and should fully implement the spirit of the national teleconference on stabilizing the economy and the decision-making of the provincial government. Enterprises need to efficiently coordinate the epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development to fully promote the eight major actions. They also need to use extraordinary efforts and initiatives to ensure that the steady growth of the policies take effect. Do everything possible to do practical things and solve difficult problems for enterprises, so as to promote the acceleration of economic stabilization and recovery, ensure that the economy operates in a reasonable range, and make more contributions to the overall situation of the country.
