In 2022, Hailiang New Energy Materials division experienced rapid development, with milestones including the start of the 614 trial production, the launch of the 915 production line, ISO/TS 16949 certification, and the completion of Phase I. Valuing the Years of Joint Struggle
"When I think back on the days when we stood shoulder to shoulder, there's always a warm feeling in my heart," reflects Wang Xuefu on his journey at Hailiang. Recalling the moments he has spent at Hailiang, Wang Xuefu has countless stories to tell. If these stories were to be numbered, those days when everyone worked tirelessly side by side would undoubtedly top the list.
The stories leading up to the workshop's operation were always filled with ups and downs, making them unforgettable. "I think I will never forget the night before the 614 production started," he says. In the heat of June in the Lanzhou New Area, a cool breeze still swept through the evening. The brightly lit production workshop for lithium foils was filled with anticipation and anxiety in everyone's hearts. Company leadership stood quietly on-site, waiting for the first roll of lithium foil to be produced.
This scene moved Wang Xuefu deeply, realizing that working together meant “the more critical the situation, the more we must come together.”At that moment, the crystallization of Wang Xuefu's efforts represented the expectations of everyone present. When the first roll of copper foil finally appeared before everyone, he noticed that his forehead was already covered in beads of sweat.

"The greatest growth lies in surpassing oneself," describes Wang Xuefu's transformation perfectly.
Wang Xuefu's first growth was in his ability to express himself confidently.
“I’m not the outgoing type actually, so I still remember the scene when I had to speak in front of over fifty people for the first time.” Looking back to when he first became a Section Leader, Wang Xuefu needed great courage just to stand in front of his colleagues. Today, he can confidently and calmly address department meetings.
Another significant aspect of Wang Xuefu's growth stems from his evolving management mindset, emphasizing the importance of teamwork rather than relying solely on individual efforts. In such a large facility, one person's efforts are insufficient. Wang Xuefu contemplates daily on how to harness the strengths and abilities of each team member.
"A Section Leader should understand the skill levels and characteristics of each colleague, and must have the ability to lead the team in resolving issues swiftly. This is necessary to minimize risks as quickly as possible when emergencies occur," he says. These management principles have been continuously put into practice in his daily work.

At Hailiang's 2023 annual meeting, Wang Xuefu's team received two prestigious honors: the Advanced Collective of Hailiang Corporation and the Advanced Collective of Hailiang New Energy Materials. Holding the certificates under the spotlight, he felt immense pride.
In December 2022, during a critical period when the company was dealing with the challenges of stabilizing production amid the pandemic, Wang Xuefu's team faced the toughest times with less than ten people due to lockdowns and restrictions. To maintain normal operations, some team members even worked 48-hour shifts. This small, dedicated team managed to overcome these obstacles during that unforgettable period, ensuring stable production and on-time deliveries.
The fact that the security team at Hailiang New Energy Materials secured two out of three prestigious collective awards from Hailiang Corporation is a testament to their significant contributions. As he looked at the vibrant certificates, Wang Xuefu understood that they symbolized not only honor but also served as a guiding light for future work.
